Woolen angel – in a sturdy gift box
IRINI is a 30 cm tall angel made from soft, fluffy merino wool. Designed by me with love and made by craftswomen from a small business belonging to Keepa and her mother Shanti in Kathmandu, Nepal. The angel comes packaged in a sturdy, matching gift box.
A gift that lasts a lifetime
IRINI is a thoughtful gift; a high-end and lasting keepsake. Present it as a birth gift – a guardian angel for the newborn. Give the angel as a token of gratitude to someone who has been your 'saving angel’, or as a thoughtful gift to someone facing tough times, offering them support and kindness. Or do what I do and simply hang it on a wall in your study to bring you calm. But above all, IRINI makes for the most beautiful Christmas angel! Hanging gracefully in your window, on the wall, or on a wreath to bring extra warmth and softness to your living space during Advent and the Christmas season.
Something I took into consideration at the design stage is that the gift box fits inside a flat shipping box which in turn fits through the letterbox. This makes it a perfect gift to send through the post!

Waldorf origin
The origins of this design stem from my youth at the Steiner or Waldorf school where we made anthroposophic angels like this, though much simpler and smaller in size. You could say that IRINI is the refined, luxury version of my childhood angels.
And something else you may like to know: IRINI is a Greek name that means ‘peace’ and as far as I'm concerned, there can never be too much of that on this earth.
